Kappa Alpha Theta - New Sorority Lodge
Project Description:
JDMA Architects developed plans for Kappa Alpha Theta's new two-story sorority house at Texas Tech University. Completed in early Fall 2017, the house has a unique facade to express the chapter’s individuality within the Greek community.
The design provides a variety of housing options, including community study/computer rooms at the lower level. The first floor includes an entry foyer with a welcoming grand staircase, fully equipped kitchen, pantry, library, storage an support spaces. The design provides flexibility for the users with expansive living and study areas to accommodate smaller or larger groups throughout the year. The second floor features an oversized Chapter Room and Computer Lab, storage room, service and support areas. The lodge is arranged around courtyard spaces, providing places for residential life both inside and outside of the building.
